I'm a triathlete. I've come a long way, and in doing so, waged a one-man war on 'Can't'. I'm training for Ironman Coeur d'Alene on 6.27.10.

I just might be crazy...

But at least I'll be crazy with a bunch of other people.

CDA was the first Ironman that I ever saw. It was the one in the back of my mind as I contemplated whether or not I could do it, but I was worried about the distance and the cost involved in getting there. I hadn't thought about it again until I found out that several of my tri club friends were going to sign up. And then after my ride this weekend, I felt much more confident in my abilities. After getting my hubby and coach's blessing, I'm in.

I have a lot of work to do over the next 6 months to get ready for training!

  3. Thanks John. That's the easy part, right? The goal for the next 6 months is a lot of time on the bike, and dropping about 40 lbs.

  21. As I stared at the registrationo screen last night, Dee Dee said, "Go for it". I passed the test! I will pass into the west and my memory will fade. :-) I will not be ready to do another Ironman until the second half of next year. You, on the other hand, continue to make us all so proud. Keep up the great work, Sarah!

  34. CDA was my very first IM. Very fond memories of that entire experience, especially training and traveling with a group of friends that did all of the training together. It was fun to go out there and experience everything with each other.

History

I lost my blog, which made me totally sad. But I was able to save some of my old posts, mainly race reports. You can check them out under 'Archives'. I guess it's good to start fresh sometimes.
